Seattle Sights Bus Tour
Date: Monday, 18 June 2018; 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Cost: $150 (includes motor coach transportation to and from Westin hotel, exclusive guided 3-hour city tour, chocolate tasting, escort, gratuities, taxes and  staff coordination). Limited to 30 persons.

The tour departs the Westin hotel making your way through the city while learning about the history of Seattle such as an explanation of the “Underground” of Seattle.  Your guide will share Seattle history as you travel through Pioneer Square, where the early settlers decided to build the city. This rich historic area is also known for its Renaissance Revival architecture, galleries and the heart of the Klondike Gold Rush activity in the late 1800’s. You’ll learn how Starbucks became the company it is today, who the “People of the Moon” were and many other fun and engaging stories.  experience Seattle’s historic neighborhoods including the areas where Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Lee, Macklemore, and many other Seattleites lived. You’ll learn the history of Seattle’s music dating back to the 1940’s where Ray Charles revolutionized American pop. You’ll stop at Ballard Locks driving through Fisherman’ Terminal where you’ll see the Pacific Fishing fleet. At the Ballard Locks, you may see migrating salmon going through the locks system, sea lions, eagles and maritime traffic as they navigate this engineering marvel. A final stop will be at the #1 rated location in Seattle for taking a photo of the skyline, the picturesque viewpoint at Kerry Park. This tour gives you a thorough experience of Seattle and all the beauty and culture the city offers.

Special Activity 2

Guided Food and Historic Walking Tour of Pike Place Market
Date: Tuesday, 19 June 2018; 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
Cost: $115 (includes exclusive 2-hour guided tour with 15 plus bites and sips, entertaining stories of the Market’s rich history and culture, 1-hour of free time at Pike Place Market, escort, gratuities, taxes and staff coordination). Limited to 16 persons per tour.

A complex and fascinating tour, with tales of villains and heroes, immigration and internment, and hope and renewal. There is a reason that “The Market” is the oldest continuously operating and most historically authentic public market in the country. Established in 1907, it was voted by Seattle residents in 1971 to establish this nine-acre area as a historical district that will forever preserve its physical and social character. Seattle Bites Food Tour will share with you the complex and fascinating tales of how and why The Market got started, the heroes that created and saved it and the beloved merchants who have made The Market their home. Experience Pike Place Market’s history while you nosh away at The Market. Meet the market’s lively characters and hear their memorable stories. See fish fly, cheese being made and the original Starbucks store. From crab cakes from Iron Chef Winner, Tom Douglas, to smoked salmon from the world-famous fish throwers, savor the food from Market family. Highlights include 15-plus bites and sips, insider look at entertaining stories of the Market’s rich history and culture.  Afterwards, guests will have an hour of free time to explore the market before returning to the hotel.
